Edzell Woods is a wonderful community that is supported and directed by its residents. As well as managing the estate through the Edzell Woods Community Trust, our residents are involved in organising community activities and fundraising.
We have lots of exciting upcoming events include a Summer Fun Day, Bake Off, stargazing, and events around Christmas and Halloween. Keep an eye on this news section of the website, our Facebook group, and notice boards in Edzell Woods for all of our upcoming activities.
Residents are also invited to get involved and volunteer in our many events and ongoing projects. If you’re interested in being involved get in touch!
Defibrillator Fundraising
Thank you to everyone who has helped us acquire a defibrillator for Edzell Woods. The defibrillator is situated on the green electricity box beside the play park. Read more here.
Edzell Woods would like to thank Carnegie Base Services for purchasing a defibrillator for the estate! Money raised in addition from Neighbours Together (who donated £411.29) and the ongoing bonus ball fundraiser will be used for sand, cement and a frame for the defibrillator. A resident has also kindly donated slabs. We will also be purchasing a second set of pads for the defibrillator so that we always have a spare set. The defibrillator it will be a great addition to the community and potentially life saving!
Bonus Ball Fundraiser
To raise money for improving Edzell Woods communal areas and activities, residents are holding a weekly bonus ball competition. Following on from the successful fundraising efforts to purchase a defibrillator, money raised from the bonus ball fundraiser will be going toward creating a garden next to the basketball court and hard standing.
Tickets will be £1 and the numbers available are 1-59. We will use the National Lottery Wednesday Draw bonus ball number. Tickets can only be sold to those aged 16 and over. Tickets can only be sold by Nicola Robertson, Ailsa Vickrage and Daniel Cobb.
If we sell all 59 numbers, a cash prize of £25 Will be awarded to the winning bonus ball person and £34 will go into the defibrillator fund. If less than 59 tickets are sold, the prize will adjusted accordingly.
Numbers can be pre-paid in advance until the draw on 11th March 2020.
Terms and conditions can be found here and news of the weekly draws are shared in the Edzell Woods Facebook group and on the notice boards on the estate..[/lgc_column]
